Delupo
Delupo is a new design venture under the creative direction of Scott Jarvie. The company is dedicated to producing design-led pieces that are crafted to the highest standards from the finest materials. The debut collection features furniture pieces and lighting, with home accessories and rug designs planned for production.
Delupo’s finely crafted furniture seeks to offer pieces that are aesthetically minimal while upholding traditional values of material quality and considered craftsmanship. All products created by Delupo are made in the United Kingdom by artisans and assemblers who are leaders in their respective fields.
“In recent years,” says Scott Jarvie, “furniture has become regarded by many as a disposable purchase. This is obviously unsustainable from an environmental standpoint, but also leads to a decline in people’s appreciation of fine craftsmanship. With Delupo, we want to make pieces people will want to keep, cherish and use forever.”
The Delupo range includes a dining table, a low console table and a bed, all in solid hardwood timber, plus an LED suspended light, and a rug in merino wool and silk. Delupo offers the majority of its pieces on a made-to-order basis, offering customers the option of design customisation, resulting in the creation of a truly unique piece.
ABOUT SCOTT JARVIE
Scott Jarvie runs a multi-disciplinary design studio based in Glasgow, Scotland. Established in 2006, the Consultancy focuses on product, furniture and large scale design projects. The objects designed are wide ranging - from lighting to hi-fi, kitchenware to luxury packaging, furniture to public sculpture. The studio’s output is underpinned by a deep respect for context, process and material.
Jarvie has exhibited in Milan, New York, London and Glasgow, plus Noise Festival where he won Zaha Hadid’s Curator’s Choice Award. Jarvie has worked with Thomas Heatherwick, the internationally acclaimed designer, Elder and Cannon, the innovative award winning Glasgow Architects and Jacki Parry, the renowned Artist and Sculptor. He is a member of the British Council’s Creative Economy Pool of Experts in the field of Design and Architecture.
